Let's keep the heart of the Salt Region alive!

The loss of access to the Praid Salt Mine has delivered a major blow not only to the local community but to the entire region’s tourism and economy. One of the area’s most iconic landmarks has become inaccessible, putting the livelihood of many local businesses and families at risk.

In response, the Harghita Community Development Association (Visit Harghita) has launched a fundraising campaign aimed at repositioning and revitalizing tourism in Praid.

100% of the donations will be used to:

• support the development of new tourism concepts,
• refresh the region’s brand and communication strategies,
• enable experience-based tourism projects, and
• build a sustainable, long-term tourism model for Praid and its surroundings.

Visit Harghita invites everyone who believes in the values of Szeklerland and the past and future of Praid to contribute according to their means.
